Благодаря ступенчатой формы термогильзы SMP снижается тепловая инерция в процессе измерения температуры, минимизируется профиль сопротивления потоку среды и способствуется противостоянию абразивному износу, который может быть вызван присутствием механических частиц в измеряемой среде. Эти термокарманы применяются для решения следующих задач: эксплуатация в «тяжелых условиях» с высокими потоковыми скоростями и вибрационными нагрузками, обеспечение защиты от интенсивного коррозийного воздействия определенных сред.
